My Routines Day TWO

I am sooooooo sleepy today! Not sure how Miss Tilly has so much energy today, after being sick half the night, but I would love some! Needless to say she is feeling much better today :)

So by now you should have your Morning and Evening Routines done.

I told you last night, that I would give you a run down of times for my Morning routine, so here it is!

Our Morning Routine

6.30 Wake up and shower

6:45 Make bed

7:00 Wake kids (if not already up, they're early risers, all except Boo {13 years}

7:05 Make kids breakfast (again, if I haven't already, the younger ones ask for it as soon as they rise)

7:10 Prepare Lunches (if I haven't the night before)

7:20 Boo unpacks dishwasher

Open Blinds in ALL rooms (I am terrible at this!! I ALWAYS forget)

7:30 Kids start morning routines (get dressed, make bed etc)

7:40 COFFEE!!!!! and check to-do list/calendar/planner

7:50 Do Miss Tilly's hair

8:00 Do my hair and face

8:15 Tidy bathroom

8:25 Say/Kiss goodbye to Jman and Boo as they leave for the bus

8:30 My day begins - housework, errands, play dates, appointments etc

Since writing this, I have decided to add, *light burner/candles in Lounge room* to the routine. I have some awesome home made soy candles and melts, that smell divine, and I keep forgetting to light/burn them!

I can hear my friends and family laughing!!! They know that there is no way I can or will get up at 6:30 am! Even My hubby is probably having a chuckle!!! But HEY!!! I was once a morning person, I can be again! I need you lot to help and encourage me to do this, not laugh at me LOL. Maybe Mrs Fowles needs to call me every morning at 6:30 am repeatedly  (the nutter is awake before 6!) until i'm up!!!

There was a time, way back when Jman was a baby, that I was up at 6:00 am everyday!!! Mr Mister will tell you!!!!!

Another thing I have to start doing more of, is delegating! The younger ones LOVE having their own special jobs! I will write up a routine for them, and they're all for it, then 3-4 days later the novelty wears off, and its just quicker and easier for me to do it, than argue with them. But no more!! Look out kiddles!

Miss Tilly loves helping to do the dishes, which I love, and hate.... Here is why.....

Miss Tilly washing up the plastic stuff

The mess she made while doing it.....

She is now super sad that she is not allowed to wash up any more and is sent to sit in front of the fire to dry off! While she was doing that, Jman was wiping the table!

Lets get onto tomorrows task, the last one before the actual Challenge begins! Gahhhh!!! Dunno if I'm ready for this!!

Tomorrow will be all about de-cluttering and setting goals! I know I have a LOT to purge! In this task, Kat helps us put together some bins to help sort our stuff out!!! As usual, she has provided some free printables for this task:

  1. 20 Day Challenge Goal List
  2. 20 Day Challenge Goal List Blank
to help us work out what our goals are and write them down!!

We will also need Four {4} sorting tubs! Kat has some really pretty labels that you can buy in her printables store for $2.95, but i think a cardboard box and a sharpie will work just as well!!!

You can get all the details for tomorrows task {here}.

What I have the most trouble with, is actually getting rid of the 'stuff' once I've purged! I get it out of my cupboards and into garbage bags to donate, then it sits there...... Anyone else have that issue??? What do you find hard when de-cluttering?

If you have any ideas and tips on how to make this process easier for me, and anyone else following along, PLEASE leave me a comment below! I need all the help I can get!

Ok, well better go finish tidying up the kitchen.... Talk to you tomorrow

My routines

Hiya!!! Will only be a quick one tonight, as Miss Tilly is unwell :( Poor love only just made it home and i had JUST enough time to get a bucket before she was sick..... The carers at kids said she ate a lot of play doh, but I'm not convinced that, that's the reason she's ill..... Thought I would quickly get this posted while she's asleep, before she needs the bucket again :(

Any whooooooo

Routines!! Did you get yours done?? I did, but I'm sure the morning one will need some editing once it has been implemented. Like the wake up time!! Hahahaha I did write times on the draft, and I will write them up tomorrow when Miss T is feeling better :)

The Evening one, i just wrote a list of all the things i do (or want to do) at night.  In order of how I want to do them, but with after school activities, the times change from day to day, so I didn't bother with them... The only time that ever stays the same, is Bedtime!

Leave a comment outlining your routines below, as your ideas may be just perfect for another family!

Here are my Routines...

Evening Routine

Morning Routine

Are yours similar? What do you do differently?

On another note, while I was in town today, dropping my daughter off at kids (daycare) I thought I would have another look around for one of those buckets (obsessed much). I went to Target, Kmart (again, in case I missed them the first time), Reject Shop, Spotlight, Cheap as Chips and Trev's and Nudda!!!!

Although I did come across some other little buys I thought I would share with you.... I found these toilet wipes in cheap as chips for $2.50 and thought I would give them ago. I reckon they would be perfect for the 'inbetween' cleans when a guest is coming over, or to wipe the seat when one of the boys pee on it!!
Toilet Wipes

I also found these at the Reject Shop (and found some at cheap as chips too but they didn't have a flower on them) and another lady looked at me oddly when i let out a little squeal (sad I know) as i hunted for a pink pair. I have added these to my cleaning kit *Excited*

Tomorrow's task is to write your Evening routine, if you haven't already done so...

OK, well that's all from me for now, being on bucket duty and all... Talk to you all tomorrow..... Have a great weekend.

Pre - Challenge Task THREE (and four)

MORNING! Hope you slept well.

So today's Challenge.... Routines!!

Kat {The Organised Housewife} sets today's task as writing the Morning routine, but as I said last night, I thought it was a little backwards, and want to start with the Evening routine (pre-challenge task four) first. I then decided that it would work better for me, to do both at the same time. So today I will be knocking over Pre-Challenge Tasks THREE AND FOUR!

As I said last night, you do not have to do this as well, this is just what I think will work better for me. It seems to make more sense in my head. I may be completely wrong, you will find out tonight how successful I am hehe.

So, for those that are with me, doing both routines today, I will link you to the printables for both. If you are going to be doing just the Morning Routine today, I will still put up another specific post for writing your Evening routine tomorrow morning :)

There are 2 free Printable's for each routine.... I will start with Today's........ the MORNING routine..

Pre-Challenge Task THREE printables are:

  1. The Organised Housewife Morning Routine List
  2. Blank Morning Routine list
What tasks do you usually do for the morning? Do you stack your dishwasher at night, but put it on the next morning after adding the Breakfast dishes? Do you prepare the school/work lunches in the morning? Maybe you go to the gym! {show off lol}

Pre-Challenge Task FOUR printables are:

  1. The Organised Housewife Evening Routine List
  2. Blank Evening Routine list
Do you do laundry at night? I usually get mine done during the day - however we might start doing it at night, during the off-peak time to save electricity and money, then add "hang out washing" onto the Morning routine. What will be in your Evening routine???

I can't wait to hear how you guys operate, and to share my routines with you. Pop on over to the Facebook page {here} to upload any photo's you would like to share, and please, leave me a comment below if you have any tips, hints or ideas, or to share what works well for your family, when it comes to setting a routine...

Hope you all have a fantastic day. See you tonight,

Meegs xx
